Bottle caries

It's not just baby teeth - it's a disease that, if left untreated, affects the health of bone teeth!

🔹Bottle caries is a tooth lesion that develops on average around the age of one to three years.
🔹Mostly tooth decay starts from the inside of the front teeth of the upper jaw. Therefore, these damages are not noticed in time.
🔹As caries spreads, it forms a white or dark lesion in the teeth.
🔹If the caries process is not treated - it can quickly take over the adjacent teeth.
🔹Children who regularly consume sweetened beverages by drinking them from a bottle face bottle caries.
❗️The greatest damage to the child's teeth is done at night - the child does not need to drink with sweeteners during the night. You choose clean water instead!
🔹Teeth damaged by bottle caries are difficult to repair, because the damage often forms all around the neck of the tooth.
🤍 Also milk teeth have a great functional importance - eating, speaking and making room for bone teeth.
🔹Pay attention to the appearance and health of the child's teeth, because any illness contributes to the risk of spreading infections.

To prevent bottle caries from forming:
🔹regular and correct tooth brushing is important;
🔹regular hygienist visit;
🔹instead of sweetened drinks - teach children to drink water;
🔹pacifiers should not be replaced with sweetened drinks from a bottle (the tongue protects the lower jaw, but sugars get between the upper teeth);
🔹 parents who have caries can pass it to their child with their saliva;
🔹after eating sweet food - it is recommended to rinse your mouth with water.

The condition of children's teeth is affected by parents' habits, let children grow up with healthy teeth. May sweets and laziness not cause bottle caries!

Healthy and strong teeth for our children. 🤍

When the year is around, the child can go for an annual state paid visit to the dental hygienist.
